    As the founder of Open Faucet Sales + Marketing, JR Ricker provides expertise, advice, execution that drives revenue growth for startups, early stage and transitioning companies. Acting as a consultant, advisor and executive in residence, JR uses his experience in sales, digital marketing and business development to help bridge the knowledge and execution gap for startups, rapid growth, and high change businesses.

    He and the Open Faucet team work directly at each level of the business to handcraft sales, business development, inbound marketing, channel, partner development and training programs that get implemented and drive results. Current client engagements include the technology, staffing, and food service verticals.

    Prior to starting Open Faucet, JR opened inBloom Juicery which was born in a college track house and began as an e-commerce store selling cold pressed juice. After testing the market, he opened two brick & mortar locations along with a mobile food truck. sales efforts that grew the company from $0 to $2M+ in sales in from 2014 to 2021.

    JR is dedicated to helping other startups & companies become more efficient and successful with a proven method of strengthening them from the inside out. Lending his extensive professional knowledge, he immerses himself in a company’s challenges and opportunities to develop strategies that will stay with them long after his time of engagement. His expertise and initiative are welcome additions to his partners and customers, while his approachable demeanor allows him to enter a diverse array of companies seeking direction.     In May of 2014, JR began developing inBloom Juicery, an e-commerce juice delivery company with the mission to provide fresh, Indiana-grown fruits and veggies to low income families in need with each bottle sold.

    Since then, JR’s opened two separate brick & mortar locations plus one mobile food truck 🏬🚚🏬

    Through the past eight years owning inBloom, he’s managed 40+ different employees, pivoted the brand with competition and most recently in 2018 took on a revenue generating role involving consistent cold sales outreach to nearby small businesses, universities/sports teams.

    JR currently helps lead the go-to-market & sales efforts of Hoosier Investments and JobSquad Staffing Solutions as they consolidate 50+ staffing agencies into one, nationwide staffing solution.

    Highlights to date include:

    - Fundraised $100k pre-seed through angels and VC to launch MVP.

    - Won multiple pitch competitions

    - Graduated two accelerator programs: gener8tor's gBeta & B-Start

    - Formulated the company’s vision, goals and objectives and kept detailed documentation to train team of three including two campus sales reps.

    - Led all aspects of business development from 0 to 80 new logos and 120 SMB locations.

    - Daily prospecting via door-to-door, cold-calling, and cold emailing a minimum of 100 personalized outreach/day.
