5 Lessons from 8 Years of Entrepreneurship

This gem of a video about starting a restaurant, inBloom Juicery, recently popped up as an 8 year old Facebook “memory”.

While I certainly wasn’t the film expert in 2015, it stands as a nice reminder of what entrepreneurship is truly like.

Over the past 8 years owning and operating a restaurant here’s what I’ve learned:

1) There’s no such thing as an “overnight success”. The reality is it’s really hard, stressful and exhausting.

2) You’re going to be the CEO, CFO, marketer, operator (& more) all wrapped into one.

3) Neither ups nor downs are permanent..keep pushing.

4) You’ll overestimate what you can do in 1 year and underestimate what you can do in 5.

5) You can’t go at it alone. Build an army as soon as possible.

Very proud with where InBloom Eats + Juice has come in 8 years, but couldn’t have done it without lots of friends & family members (my army). Hope these 5 tips help and inspire you in your journey.
