How to Stop Overthinking Your First Cold Emails

Overthinking emailing prospects or talking to potential customers?

EVERYONE is guilty when they first get started prospecting đź‘‹

Try breaking your outreach down into 3 simple steps:

1) Personalize
2) Problem
3) Ask

Personalize:
Doesn’t have to be in-depth. A simple, “I heard you on a recent podcast”, “congrats on the recent funding with X”, or even simply “I went to IU, too (and never left Bloomington). Go Hoosiers!”

Problem:
Name the problem you believe they are having.

Ask:
Could be litterally anything. Meeting, quick demo, or a simple question. The point here is to get them to respond.

That’s it!

Keep it short and stick to a simple script like this to not overthink that first cold email in your startup sales journey.
